The first of its kind in Sri Lanka that is designed to ease the processing of palm sap Syrup, the traditional “kithul treacle”. The designed system is a locally developed semi-automated combined flat pan; a smart choice to be used by both large scale and medium scale producers of kithul treacle to increase the efficiency of production while maintaining the quality of the treacle.
Trials prove the process under full capacity produce 30 L of quality treacle within 4 hours as opposed to the traditional process that would consume a minimum of 10 -12 hours of processing.
